On Friday 13 September the school received the group statistics for the Year 7 and 9 NAPLAN results. These results demonstrates the positive direction our school is taking. The Principal, Dave Crelley, and teachers were elated with some of our results which included:
The best raw results for year 9 reading since 2009
The best raw results for year 9 spelling, grammar and punctuation and numeracy ever
The growth of our students in year 9 in the areas of reading, spelling, grammar and punctuation and numeracy were the best in the (old) school education group and above state and regional growth.
These fantastic results are a reflection of the dedication of its teachers and students. It is pleasing to see the willingness by both teachers and staff to embrace and carry out changes required to improve literacy and numeracy. Well done!
It is anticipated that NAPLAN reports to parents will occur the week commencing 14 October.
