Career Education at Tumbarumba High School
At Tumbarumba High School, Career Education is designed to equip students with the skills, confidence and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future pathways . We support students as they transition from school to work, further education and training, or university, encouraging them to explore their interests and set meaningful and satisfying personal goals.
Our program guides students through planning their next steps, building confidence and readiness for life beyond school through a range of engaging activities.
Work experience opportunities are actively encouraged and easily arranged, providing valuable real-world exposure to various industries.
In Years 9 and 10, students participate in regular careers lessons that include exposure to interest assessments, future training planning, resume writing, and job application skills. They also receive guidance through the school-to-work program when selecting HSC subjects, study options and determining study and career options.
Students in Years 11 and 12 have access to workshops, seminars and information sessions focused on university applications, scholarships, and career planning. Our dedicated Careers Adviser is available for one-on-one support, with an open door policy for students and parents / carers seeking advice at any time.
